So, Where Can I Find a C-3 Surfboard?

I am so glad you asked!  The 2nd comp series at Bluff Cove  will be on C-3 v2 surfboards. You have the option of using your own surfboard or using a rezzer board. It is also your choice if you use a longboard or a shortboard.  The rezzer boards is long.

As of now, the three places I know to buy C-3 surfboards are at wave rider designs, Nizna Surf and the original Shack on Chi, Tsunami, and El Diablo. You can try out shorts at any official C-3 rezzer (try Bundy Reef), and longs on the beach at NS Surf Beach LOJA and at Bluff Cove.

If anyone knows of other places to buy C-3 v2 surfboards, let me know in the comments and I will update this post.

Bluff Cove Series

I am so excited to share with everyone that Bluff Cove has been selected as the second stop on SLSA Season 1 of 2015!

From the forums:

After the Chi Fluffies Pro this coming Saturday, Feb. 28th, the NEXT competition will be at Bluff Cove, using the C-3 surfboard on a combination of the Maoli Freestyle and Swell waves. The dates are March 21st for the Open and March 28th for the Pro.

So we are running both the Maoli Freestyle (64m and 100m) and the Maoli Swell. Before you freak out, this is awesome! Because, if it going to be up to the surfer to show the judges what they can do with these waves. Show yourself off best, challenge yourself!

If you don’t own a C-3 board, your can borrow a long board from the rezzer.

Wax up those boards and I will see you out on the waves!

 

Big Kahuna Oahu Surf Contest

Fun competition today!

***Oahu Surf Contest Rules***

1. Contest is open to all who show up on the Ehukai Beach by 1pm slt on February 22, 2015.

2.  All who want to enter contest must click the button on the contest board that says “Join Contest”

3. Contest will start with first contestant on the board.

4. Once the air horn goes off, the contestant has 2 minutes to show off your best moves on the waves.

5. Once the 2 minutes up, the air horn will blow and the contestant must leave the surf area so the next contestant can take their turn.

6. Contestants can bring their own surfboards or use one of the rezzers from either Oahu or Kauai beaches.

7. When surfing your set its okay to use both waves on either Oahu or Kauai beaches.

8. Once all contestants had their chance to compete, we will open up the board for voting for 15 minutes.

9. All competitors must vote.

10. Tping your friends just to vote is not permitted.  If you want your friends to vote for you, then they must attend the event.

11. Winner will receive 1500L and the title of Oahu’s Big Kahuana with your own special title in our Oahu group.

12. Most importantly good sportmanship is required and showing your aloha spirit is encouraged.  Good luck to your all and Mahalo.

An election for 2 SLSA Director Positions will be held on March 1st, using a voting machine on Solace Dreams just outside the SLSA Clubhouse.

I like surfing with everyone and open to help out the group. I’m trying for director so I can see it still running. My vision for the slsa is for it to just be active. I think collaboration and word of mouth from everyone is important for the slsa to be noticed. I would also like to see more participation and most importantly, everyone having fun! ^.^

For anyone considering jumping into the March 1st election  for SLSA Directors, this is a reminder you  must send in your nomination on note card to all sitting directors (Summerrain Garnet, MissyLovesu, Daphne Yardley, Lanky Silvercloud and Petra Xaris) by midnight SLT tonight, February 15th.

You may read more about it at the SLSA forum, here is the url.

The SLSA needs members willing to give some time and effort, as well as have fun, to be one of the directors of the SLSA. There are 2 seats opening up. If there aren’t at least 2 people willing to run:

2.3.1.5. If there are less candidates eligible or willing to run for election than there are numbers of open Director’s seat(s), all events shall be suspended and the election re-scheduled.

That means the competition at Chi may have to be postponed. If you are interested in helping out the SLSA and being on the Board of Directors, submit your self-nomination today!

Registration Opens for SLSA Chi Fluffy SSi Shortboard Competition

Registration has opened for the SLSA Chi Fluffy SSi Shortboard series, the first stop for Season 1 of 2015!

Dates – February 21st (Open) and February 28th (Pro) at 11:00 AM SLT
Venue – Chi
Board – SSi Shortboard
Wave – Maoli Fluffy Fun

Registration is open until midnight SLT, Tuesday, February 17th. Register on the SLSA Forums.

There must be at least 30 people registered, for both the Open and the Pro to be held. If less than 30 people register the events will be combined into one to be held on October 18th. Top 20 ranked surfers you still need to register! Your registration into the event is not automatic. This event is open to any SLSA member, even if you have never competed before (you will be competing in the Open event). If you are new to the SLSA, you will need to join the SLSA group and the SLSA Forums.
