Ack! Where can I find an SSi Shortboard?

Not to worry!  If you would like to buy your own personal board you can get one from Dee Waveriders’s Shop: DW Surf on Cloud 9. They are L$750 for a copy version.  There are a variety of sizes, so make sure you measure one you are interested in to make sure it is between 2.25m and 3.38m (competition size). If anyone else has working SSi vendors, please let me know!

If you just want a loaner for the Kauai comp, they have a rezzer that will give out short and long boards on the beach. The shortboard is approximately 2.65m.

P.S. – If you need a portable measuring stick, contact me or any of the directors and we can pass you one!

Registration Opens for SLSA Kauai SSi Shortboard Competition

Registration has opened for the SLSA Kauai SSi Shortboard series, the third stop for Season 2 of 2015!

Dates: October 17th (Open) & 24th (Pro) at 11:00 am SLT
Venue: Kauai Surf Sim http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kauai/135/97/22
Wave: Maverick
Board: SSi Shortboard (3.38m or less)

Registration is open until 12p NOON SLT October 14th 2015. Register on the SLSA Forums.

There must be at least 30 people registered, for both the Open and the Pro to be held. If less than 30 people register the events will be combined into one to be held on October 24th. Top 20 ranked surfers you still need to register! Your registration into the event is not automatic. This event is open to any SLSA member, even if you have never competed before (you will be competing in the Open event). If you are new to the SLSA, you will need to join the SLSA group and the SLSA Forums.

Please note: Registration has been extended an extra 12 hours to accommodate more time zones. But there isn’t a reason to delay, get over to the forums and get your registration in ASAP!
